Get Started
MiLingual Design Library is the coded, documented source of truth for MiLingual's UI — generated from the same Figma file the design team works in, so what you see here is what ships.
Install
The component package isn't published yet. In the meantime, copy components
directly from this repository's src/components/ds/ directory into your
project, or install once published:
pnpm add @milingual/ui
import { Button } from "@milingual/ui";
export function Example() {
return <Button variant="primary">Get started</Button>;
}
Design principles
- Fluid by default. Type and spacing scale continuously with the viewport (a clamp()-based fluid scale), rather than jumping at fixed breakpoints.
- Semantic before primitive. Components consume semantic tokens
(
color/action/primary,color/text/secondary) rather than raw palette values, so the system can be retheme without touching component code. - Accessible by construction. Focus states, contrast, and keyboard interaction are part of a component's definition, not an afterthought added at review time.
What's here
- Components — coded, reusable UI primitives with live previews, prop tables, and copyable code.
- Patterns — composed, page-level assemblies documented with specs and screenshots.
- Guidelines — the design tokens themselves: color, typography, spacing, radius, and iconography.
